2005 - Coca Cola Bottlers Ireland were among
the first to use Dipetane when in 1989 using their Transport
Management System, they carried out an accurate pre-Dipetane
monitoring on MPG for three months. They then used Dipetane
in the fuel and continued monitoring for nine months.
In 1990 an overall average improvement in fuel economy of 17% was

1993 – the Irish Army totalled
the number of litres of fuel they used and the number of kilometres
driven. Then in 1994, they used Dipetane in all of their
fuel and calculated again. They report a 13.6% reduction
of fuel required. They have been using Dipetane ever
since and have logged well over 100 million miles of operation
and never any problems with the Dipetane

Mr Haynes emailed - You might recall when you telephoned a while ago, I didn't have accurate figures on the benefit I was getting from Dipetane because my motoring patterns had been somewhat disrupted, but I planned a reasonably controlled test soon on a return journey to Germany in my Volvo XC70 D5.
The same route was used in both directions and I drove at the same speed. Traffic and weather conditions were similar both ways, the load was the same and the A/C was on all the time. I used "standard" diesel.
For the outward journey the tank was purged of dipetane by 3 successive refills without it, and consumption was 35.7mpg. For the return journey, Dipetane was added and consumption was 40.4mpg. The saving considerably outweighed the cost of the Dipetane used.
That's good enough for me! I shall order again.
